Q: Do you feel represented in the media at the moment?

Radam: As a trans person of colour, I don’t feel represented in the media at all, particularly in the UK. There seems to be a lot of discussion of trans people and people of colour generally, but it is spoken to by cis white people – so issues surrounding our identities and our human rights are being talked about, about us rather than with us and rather than talking about the real issues that we are facing. I believe that allowing us to talk our truth and putting our voices out there will help to address these issues throughout the world.
