Story – Lizzie Williams

Q: How did your faith interact with your identity and how did you marry the two?

Lizzie: It’s a tough one, you know, I grew up going to Church and I have friends and family who go to Church, my mum goes to Church every week still, and I do have friends there and a bit of community there still. There are some days when I think I would love to explore my faith more because I do feel like I have some sort of connection to something bigger than me, and I would like to explore it more. You meet Christians who say they’re LGBTQ+ friendly but, unfortunately, there are also too many instances when you meet people who are religious and not so LGBTQ+ friendly.
